Major Chinese steel producer Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp. (WISCO) has stated that its high-strength low-alloy galvanized steel sheet has been approved by the Shanghai R&D center of PSA Peugeot Citroen.
PSA Peugeot Citroen, the second-largest European automaker after Volkswagen Group, is a French multinational manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles sold under the Peugeot and Citroen brands. Currently, the group has two joint venture companies in China and a R&D center in Shanghai. The JV companies are Wuhan, Hubei Province-based Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën
Automobile
Limited (DPCA), and Shenzhen, Guangdong Province-based Changan PSA Automobiles Co., Ltd (CAPSA). Its R&D center has been operating since September 2008.
To date, WISCO's interstitial-free (IF) grade, high-strength IF grade, bake-hardening (BH) grade, low-alloy high-strength grade, and dual-phase grade cold rolled steel sheets for the automotive sector have been approved by PSA Peugeot Citroen.
